San Diego Math Summer Schedule

Our final San Diego Math Monkey Summer session is here! Get ready for the thrill of victory with our Math Olympics theme. Our entire Math Monkey team is here to ensure your child's experience is fun and rewarding.

Classes meet for two weeks from July 28 through August 7. Remember, there are no classes on Fridays.

Orangutans

Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Baboons

Monday-Thursday 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon

Lemurs

Monday-Thursday 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Chimpanzees

Monday-Thursday 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Keep Those Math Muscles Strong!

Many of our Math Monkey families exercise regularly and are taking great care of their bodies. They're in great shape. What do you think would happen if they stopped exercising for the summer? Do you think their muscles would be as strong and ready for action? Of course not - they would have to exercise twice as hard to regain lost momentum and muscle tone. It's always easier to keep up with a program than to start over.

Libraries promote summer reading programs to keep our childrens' minds strong, much like exercise. But what about math? Doesn't your child deserve to be just as strong in math as in reading?

It's harder to rebuild math muscles than to maintain them.

According to Theresa Delia, Lead Teacher, "When school starts, it's almost like an amnesia. They forget what they already learned and almost have to go back a level when school starts before they can catch up to where they were at the end of the year."

Don't let that happen to your child! You still have time to get in on the fun and learning of the Math Olympics.Our final 2 week session will be held July 28 thru August 7. Summer Camp Post Tests Win the Olympic Gold

Our first 2 week session was the best in math fun for all involved. We played games from the Olympics like volleyball, diving, and triathlon. In addition, children learned amazing math facts.  With a short period of daily classes, students were immersed in the instructions and learned at a fast pace. Our students' post-tests showed dramatic improvements.

Our final 2 week session will be held July 28 thru August 7.

Welcome to Math Monkey of Scripps Ranch

Welcome to the first of what will be regular posts here on our new blog.   Co-owner Alan Archer and I hope to add our own local perspective to current educational and math trends, as well as how Math Monkey of Scripps Ranch participates in the community, happenings at our knowledge center and ways we can all help improve the lives of our little monkeys.

Math Monkey of Scripps Ranch offers an exciting new, yet old, way for children to learn and develop math skills.  Future post will discuss current math education, ways which Math Monkey can help and some details and thoughts on how we are making a difference in the lives of children here in our community.
